As I watch and talk with the women around me, I have noticed that most of us look around and judge how we are suppose to be acting at that very moment. Heaven help us if we stick out for doing something different. Today, different is bad and wrong.
Do you want to know what I think (it's my blog so I'm going to tell you any way)? Attempting to be like everyone else is living a one size fits all lifestyle! Think about the clothes in your closet. Do you look good or feel good in any of the one size fits all pieces in there? Sure they're comfortable, that's why we bought them. But we rarely wear them out in public.
Are you playing all the roles that you think you should be playing? There's the Mom Role, the Wife Role, the Work Role and the list goes on and on doesn't it. Are you playing all of them the way you think every expects you to play them? Trying to play on these roles, they way you are suppose to play them is like living an off the rack lifestyle. I think 99.999% of us buy clothes off the rack. But living the off the rack lifestyle is like buying clothes without a size label in them, and not being allowed to try them on before you buy them. Some of the clothes will fit, but the majority of them won't. Is that how you "wardrobe" of roles feels? Some kind of fit, but most really don't fit the way you would like them to.
If you're lucky enough to own some tailor-made clothes, you know these clothes look good and feel even better to wear. Tailor-made clothes are hard to come by (unless you can sew them yourself, or have a great family member or friend who sews). Having a tailor-made lifestyle, and creating the roles and life that fit you perfectly isn't that hard to do! I know I've done it myself! Starting this Fall, we will begin offering lifetime membership kits to 29 Days to Your Tailor-Made Life. Email me at Theresa@TheresaRobb if you want the early release pricing (it will be over 50% off)!
